Sunday October 30, 2011 Chriz Montez Sunny Song of the Day

Chris Montez has a wonderful version of Sunny with the sound you can hear on two of his pop hits (The More I See You and Call Me), the chorus of voices towards the end of the song with that lounge almost live feel to it.

Chris changes the lyrics, as Bill Cosby and Frankie Valli did:

Now the dark days are bright / the bright days are here
My Sunny one / so sincere

1:45 in "You're my star of nature's fire / You're my sweet, complete desire"

2:03 "Yesterday my heart was filled with pain"

You can find the Chris Montez version of "Sunny" on these albums. Thanks to Dick Ely for his hard work cataloging the "Sunny" versions

Bobby Hebb on tour with Jimmy Page, and four gigs with Page and Jeff Beck  - the Dick Clark Caravan of Stars _________________________________________ FROM A LED ZEPPELIN FORUM http://forums.ledzeppelin.com/index.php?/topic/501-the-1967-dick-clark-caravan-of-stars-tour/ I have an original program from that tour too; it cost me a lot more than 99 cents! The Caravan of Stars Tour was actually late 1966. Jeff Beck flaked out and left the tour after the fourth gig (Oct 30, 1966 in Corpus Christie, TX). The Yardbirds went on to cancel three appearances on this tour, two for illness (Nov 24-25) and the date in Little Rock (Nov 4) for an undetermined reason.
