Bobby Hebb's THAT'S ALL I WANNA KNOW, recorded at the time (the week of the start) of the Iraq War

TENTH ANNIVERSAR Y FOR THE RECORDING OF                "That's All I Wanna Know" As you know, we at Bobby Hebb.com don't get involved with politics on this site.  The exception is that when Bobby flew over to Germany to record "That's All I Wanna Know" it was the same week as the Iraq war...and this album almost did not get recorded because of the threat of war. P roducer  Rüdiger Ladwig put together the deal with Tuition Records and the CD would issue in Europe (on Tuition) and America (on Allegro) in 2005. ___________________________________________________ I started working on the lin er notes to That's All I Wanna Know when Andreas Schaffer, the A & R / Label manager at Intuition /  tuition records, a divi sion of Schott Music & Media GmbH  c ontacted me on Monday, August 1, 2005 to give me the green light on writing those notes. You can read those liner notes here: ...

Christophe Willem sings "Sunny" / Cortez Shaw out on American Idol

Bobby Hebb News for St. Patrick's Day, March 17, 2013 Pleas e always visit our m ain pages http://bobbyhebb.com  http://sunnythesong.com _________________________________________________ Peter Cooper On Music: Bluesman ‘Nick’ Nixon ages like fine wine On his way to becoming one of Nashville’s most consequential blues and R&B singers, James “Nick” Nixon had it hard. “I sang in church, then went into opera,” he says. “I had a high school choir director named William Lathon, who was a famous opera singer, and he trained me. The hardest thing I’ve ever done is to learn how not to sing so well, so I could do rock ’n’ roll and blues.” Nixon has books filled with photos of times spent with Moore, B.B. King, Lazy Lester, Rufus Thomas, Bobby Hebb, Cootie Stark, cousin (and queen of Nashville blues) Marion James and others, but ask him for a career highlight and he’ll tell you about the time he had to visit someone in a hospital.   http://blogs.tennessean.co...
