Thirty One Shows! for the 1966
Dick Clark Caravan of Stars

Jeff Beck left the group at the beginning and was
later dismissed:

"By the end of the month Jeff Beck cracked for good throwing a malfunctioning amplifier out a window and threatening Keith Relf with his guitar in the dressing room.  He stormed off from Harlingen, Texas (which would have been the third show,
as of the posting on rnrhistorian ) ...interesting book
noted below which reports the Yardbirds were then a
four piece with John Paul Jones doing arrangements
in a recording session or sessions as the quartet soldiered on in England after this tour.

When Jeff Beck left the Yardbirds on 1966 tour

https://www.facebook.com/neilratnerrockdoc/posts/830081177108682

Jeff Beck spoke about the Yardbirds tour(part of Dick Clarks Caravan Of Stars) that he left in late Oct. 1966"The bus was supposed to have air-conditioning, but didn't seem to. And all the American groups on the bus played their guitars non-stop, and were always singing. Could you imagine? Cooped up on a stuffy bus with everyone around you singing Beatles songs in an American accent?" He added, "I was quite messed up, at 21 I was really on my last legs. I just couldn't handle it." Many years later when he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as part of the Yardbirds he said with a smile on his face, "Somebody told me I should be proud tonight, but I'm not, because they kicked me out. They did! Fuck them!"
