Canadian Labor Congress (CLC) use of "Sunny" in the news

SUNNY
and Bobby Hebb in the news

The CLC’s “Fairness Works!” TV commercials that played over the last couple of months were actually pretty effective. To the soundtrack of Bobby Hebb’s 1966 hit, Sunny (“The dark days are gone now, the bright days are here”), determined-looking ordinary Canadians hold up hand-written signs (that actually look like slightly oversized popsicles) extolling various virtues of union membership: equal pay; health benefits; vacation time, paternity leave and so on. Almost makes me want to join. Though there’s no mention of the dues or the shop steward’s power.
