Sunny by Billy Preston  - instrumental with vocal intro - The Beatles had asked Bobby Hebb to play keyboards with them after the 1966 tour, but Bobby was more into the guitar at the time and suggested Billy Preston ...the rest is history... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ee0LtINHtfc

Relationship with the Beatles

Preston first met the Beatles as a 16-year-old in 1962, while part of Little Richard's touring band, when their manager Brian Epstein organized a Liverpool show, at which the Beatles opened. The Washington Post explained their subsequent meeting:
Preston is one of several people referred to by commentators as the "Fifth Beatle". At one point during the "Get Back" sessions, John Lennon proposed the idea of having him join the band (to which Paul McCartney countered that it was difficult enough reaching agreements with four).[5] Preston played with the Beatles for several of the Get Back sessions, some of the material from which would later be culled to make the film Let it Be and its companion album. Preston also accompanied the band for its rooftop concert; the group's final public appearance.[4]

"Uptown Funk" crams an entire wedding reception into four-and-a-half minutes, and the album containing the song looks to be as much fun as the single. Mark Ronson thinks so: "It's my best record, for sure," he tells Rolling Stone. As usual, the producer has recruited a star-studded cast of singers and side-hands. Pulitzer Prize-winning author Michael Chabon wrote the lyrics; Mystikal, Bruno Mars and Tame Impala's Kevin Park contribute vocals; and Stevie Wonder plays a little harmonica. "It's probably the peak musical highlight of my life," Ronson says of that last collaboration. "I'm fine if I never top it." R.S.
