The
late Bobby Hebb! His first single, "Sunny", was a big hit in 1966, hitting #1 in Cashbox,
peaking at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100, #3 on the Billboard Soul/R&B
chart, and #12 on the UK chart.
That same year, he hit the Top 40
again when he peaked at #39 with "A Satisfied Man" (it also hit #40 on
the R&B chart and #32 in the UK).
In 1976, he had a minor hit on
the Billboard Soul/R&B chart with a disco-fied remake of "Sunny",
where it got as high as #94.
